Sledging 1000 metres above the alpine town of Chur

The sledging run at 1,000 metres above the alpine town of Chur starts at Brambrüesch, Chur's local mountain. You can reach the mountain quickly and easily with the  cabelway directly from the city. Other sledging runs can be found in the winter sports resort of Feldis and in Tschiertschen. The Pradaschier sledging run offers fast and winding fun in winter too. And the legendary Preda-Bergün sledging run is also a worthwhile excursion from Chur thanks to the Rhaetian Railway and an attractive tobogganing package.

The tobogganing adventure begins exactly 1,000 metres above the cantonal capital, either directly at the mountain station or a little further ahead near the ski lift. The toboggan run offers fast descents and sweeping curves, but there are also more leisurely sections in between. These are particularly good for taking in the view of the snow-covered Grisons mountains.
Thanks to its even gradient, the toboggan run is ideal for families and children. Whether alone or in pairs on the sledge, what could be better than to ride over a well-prepared toboggan run through the snow-covered winter landscape? And all this just 15 minutes from the city centre of Chur, the ‘Alpine City’!

Sledging by night

Every Saturday between mid-January and early March, night sledging takes place on Chur's local mountain, Brambrüesch, with the mountain railway running until 10 pm.

The toboggan run is not illuminated; it is recommended that you bring a head torch. We recommend checking the current condition of the toboggan run in advance.

Fondue party and sledging by night

The optional fondue experience includes a return ticket for the Chur-Brambrüesch mountain railway and the fondue at the mountain restaurant (reservation requested). You can enjoy the fondue experience at the Bergbaiz, Battagliahütte and Malixerhof.

  • Adults: CHF 49.50
  • Senior citizens (64+): CHF 47.00
  • Young people (13–17) and students (–24): CHF 44.00
  • Children (6–12): CHF 28.00

Rent a sledge

Sleds can be rented for CHF 10.00 at the valley station in Chur; sleds are issued at the mountain station of the 4-person gondola.
Reservations are not possible for individuals, but are available for groups upon request.
